Meeting the Challenge – Nathan Glyde (Day 1)

Happy new year everyone!

Today we begin our shared month long journey of meditation and inner reflection with Nathan Glyde’s wonderful talk Meeting the Challenge. In this talk Nathan starts to unpack how veganism and the dharma, the liberating meditative teachings of Buddhism, can come together and support us to deepen our practice.

    Hello
    I don’t know how this challenge is going to go but I will give it a good go. I will just take it one day at a time and am looking forward to exploring alternative ways of sustaining myself.

    I already have to exclude gluten and my first surprise is that some of my gluten free bread contains egg.

    On viewing cattle : Being winter I think that most cattle are inside at the moment – just saying.
    I live rurally and am pretty wary of cattle they are best viewed from behind a fence.

    Hi Ann,

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Being gluten free and vegan I’ve had to do without bread for quite a while, but thankfully some companies have cottoned on and are now producing gluten free bread without egg white. If you’re in the UK, most supermarkets I think now stock BFree which is one of the better ones 🙂
